In order to use Lithuanian public roads, electronic toll payment is required, even before entering tolled sections.
Motorways and expressways can only be used after paying the toll.
Toll types and prices
The toll is available for four different durations:
- 1-day toll
- 7-day toll
- 30-day toll
- Annual toll
* If a vehicle over 3.5 tonnes tows a trailer, a separate toll payment is required.
The toll calculation will be displayed by the system after entering the necessary information regarding the vehicle and the trip.
ℹ️ Online purchase and required information
The fee for the road usage entitlement can be paid online. Registering your vehicle only takes a few minutes. The required details are as follows:
- License plate number
- Country code
- Email address
- Mobile phone number
When placing an order (registering a vehicle), you need to provide the vehicle's license plate number and the country where the vehicle is registered, then select the start date and duration of the validity.
The system will ask for your email address and mobile phone number for contact purposes. Providing your mobile phone number is necessary because the confirmation link is also sent via SMS, ensuring that you receive the confirmation even if there are issues with email delivery.
After a successful payment, the system will send you a receipt and a QR™ SMS code which includes the vehicle identification information and the validity period of the purchased e-vignette.
⚠️ Warning regarding suspicious websites
Certain websites offer toll payment options while collecting your card details, but they do not issue a valid toll confirmation, and your card information may fall into the hands of unauthorized parties.
Unsuspecting travelers can suffer multiple disadvantages: first, without valid proof of toll payment, they may be fined, and secondly, their card details may be misused.
⛔ Fines
The regulation (No. 3-97, 447-21) specifies in detail the fines applicable if someone enters a tolled road section without a valid toll payment:
- Automated camera detection: if the violation is recorded by an automatic camera system, the fine is €700–1000
